1. About the service

REFUGIO offers a prayer of the day, a daily verse, a library of prayers, a Bible reader (New Testament and Psalms), favorites, reading streaks, audio narration and optional accounts to sync your data across devices.

The app is free to use. Some features may be offered as paid content in the future; any paid feature will be clearly marked before purchase.

2. Accounts

You can use most of REFUGIO without an account. If you create an account (by email or with Google), you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything done with your account.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account.

3. Donations

Donations are voluntary gifts that support REFUGIO. You can make a one-time donation or a recurring monthly donation.

Donations are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. REFUGIO does not see or store your card details.

Donations are non-refundable, except where required by law. You can cancel a monthly donation at any time; it will stop at the end of the current billing period.

4. Bible text

The English Bible text is the King James Version (public domain). The Spanish and Catalan Bible text is the Reina-Valera (public domain), shown with a note that no free Catalan translation is available yet.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse REFUGIO: do not attempt to break it, overload it, copy its content in bulk, or use it for anything unlawful or harmful.

6. Intellectual property

The REFUGIO name, design, illustrations, prayers and devotionals are the property of REFUGIO. You may use the app for your personal, non-commercial use. Public-domain Bible text is not covered by these rights.

7. Disclaimer

REFUGIO content is devotional and inspirational. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. If you are going through a crisis, please contact a professional or an emergency service in your area.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, REFUGIO is not liable for damages arising from the use of, or the impossibility of using, the app.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the new Terms.
