1. What we collect

Account data: if you create an account, we store your email, your display name and the method you used to sign in (email or Google).

Your content: your favorite prayers, Bible bookmarks and reading streak are stored on your account so they sync across your devices.

Device preferences: your language, text size and onboarding choices are stored locally on your device.

Donations: when you donate, the payment is processed by Stripe. We only receive a confirmation of the donation (amount, date and whether it is monthly); we never receive or store your card details.

Audio narration: when you use the Listen feature, the prayer text is sent to our AI voice provider to generate the audio. We do not store the audio linked to your identity.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to operate the app, sync your favorites and streak across devices, process donations, generate audio narration, respond to your messages and improve the app.

3. Sharing

We never sell your data. We share data only with the providers needed to run the service: our payment provider (Stripe) for donations and our AI voice provider for audio narration.

The Bible text we display is public domain and is not personal data.

4. Storage and security

Your account data is stored securely with our infrastructure provider. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it.

5. Retention

We keep your account data while your account exists. To delete your data, contact us and we will delete your account and its data within a reasonable time.

6. Children

REFUGIO is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Do not create an account if you are under that age.

7. Your rights

You can ask us at any time for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. Contact us using the address below.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The latest version is always available on this page.
